You know, of course, that m. apeal was a note from a production assistant (man appeal, get it?), and then Dame Enid showed up as Emma Peel. Frick, the 60's were cool, and I'm not just talking Lotus Elan or catsuits...

Fantastic tribute to Dame Diana Rigg. She was the best female partner that Patrick MacNee had.

My one regret of the Avengers series is I would have loved to have seen an episode where Emma Peel meets her match against a very tough female villainess & receives the biggest beating of her life.Someone like Rosella Falk who played Mrs Fothergill in the Modesty Blaise film would have been perfect for that role.
