No drug forces you to do things. Drugs exaggerate aspects of natural human psychology. The fact that anti-depressants are exaggerating violent & depressive qualities, rather than alleviating depression, is the problem. Violence isn't created by the drugs, only that they don't work in most cases, and in some cases they do the opposite. The problem with depression is that it takes talking, and work, which is time. People want to save time, pop a pill, fix it. Depression needs therapy.

Amen. It's never been a war on drugs. Drug prohibition started to keep out immigrants, basically. It's now been modified to simply be a war on ideas that counter the system, and drugs cause these liberating ideas. Take not only the money from the war on drugs, but the money from the constant war with other countries, and put it into education(about drugs and other things) and put it into actual crime prevention, i.e. murderers, put it into exploration of our universe.

What's even more troubling is that for every person who claims they either can't sleep, can't eat, etc - psychiatrists blame it on a mental illness. The next thing you'll see someone mourning the loss of a loved one, and yet psychiatrists will claim that its "mentally unstable" for them to do so and that they need drugs.

I believe every human being has a choice to do wrong or right. (Drugs don't make us automatically behave badly) For all those who commit crimes on drugs there are also those who don't, however they still remain depressed, anxious, etc. Which still proves that drugs can't cure those types of problems.

You can either agree with me or disagree with me. I don't believe its a war on drugs. I believe its a war on personal freedom. If you do the drugs and you know they're bad for you, and you still decide to do them, then thats should be your decision. We should take all the money were wasting on trying to fight the drug war, and use it to inform what the drugs do. And if people still decide to do them and isn't effecting others than just let them be. Punish the ones that use and commit crimes.

Message me if you want a link to the list of all the school shootings and other homicides done by people on SSRI anti-depressants

If it's just because kids decided to do it, then how do you explain that every single school shooting in the last ten years has been done by someone on anti-depressants. no joke.

I personally think that part of the problem with these children is not solely due to the drugs. They certainly have an impact, but at the end of the day - all people have a sense of conscience. Those who commit these barbaric crimes (like at Columbine and Virginia Tech, etc) may have simply decided to do these, because they wanted to. Which is more terrifying and it begs the question - why and how can we stop people from ending up like that and without drugging them?
