Gerald shows all the signs of class schizophrenia

Video Comments

Yeah, that's really wild. I interpret it to be like our own conscience, speaking to us, but schizophrenic's inner voice is much louder so to speak and is much more malicious most of the time. Especially causing malice to the person having the delusions which in turn causes their paranoia. It would be like walking through a bad neighborhood and being scared of being attacked. Only you would feel that way all the time. I think it is like a distorted conscience.

Its actually your brain percieving that you hear something. The brain is really complicated, so its hard to explain. Just like the comment in the video, if Gerald looks at a woman, he thinks he raped her. It really is subconscience. Theres a difference between hearing and percieving, look more into the ear and the brain, and how it percieves, then you will see the chemicals and how it alters your mind.

what intregues me the most are the voices they hear. I wonder where the voices come from, what gives them their own personal sound, and what drives them to say the mean things they say, why don't they say more positives things.

This is fascinating. I just learned all about schizophrenia in my introductory psychology course, but to actually see it take place, holy shit. Incoherent thought and speech, disorganized behaviour, motor disturbance, probably social withdrawal too... this guy has got Disorganized Schizophrenia, the worst kind.

I love this video. I watch it several times a week, and have been for the past few weeks. I find it to be the most interesting video in the world. I think it's in part, because he is exhibiting all the main symptoms of schizophrenia.

His mother really shouldn't argue with his delusions...it is a "no win" situation. The thoughts he is conveying are completely "real" to him. I hope they found the correct medication for this man. Also, a charity event needs to take place to raise funds for the research of this disease or humans such as this individual will continue to suffer.

Kicking old "green teeth right in the knee" comes from the Charlie Daniels Band's song "Uneasy Rider"!

My mother and I was victim of assault by my brother who has schizophrenia. Extremely scary. Never ever want to experience something like that again. We are trying to get him into a facility, but my grandmother is saying he is okay. Schizophrenia is a frightening disease. My brother played with his hair the same way the guy is playing with his. I don't wish this on anyone.

a town without pity was a book written in 1961 about rapethe man who shot liberty valance-john wayne film in 1962dreamed of a hillbilly heaven- john ritter song written in 1961it's like he's stuck in the first years of the 60s-dunno when this was documented but in part 2 he seems to mention the police and his experience in the force a lot which my guess was around 1961
