I can see that you're such a nice person from this video Jennifer. With all due respect, you're not really good in trying to be sarcastic... LOL... But goodjob though... Love from SG =P

So true. Facial expressions (flat lips, roll of the eyes, etc.) indicate sarcasm as well.I keep thinking about taking this lesson off, as it was posted so long ago as a quick reply to one viewer's question. However, interesting comments like yours crop up, so I have yet to delete the video!

I believe that sarcasm is everywhere in every language, every nation and every culture, but it doesn't work the same way for all of them.If you are able to translate texts from one language to another, you will realize that there are expressions that you cannot literally translate, you need to search for a close meaning that gives the same result. So, videos like this, where you get a clear explanation of the sense of those words, you become more capable to find the right translations.

... as years passed, I remembered the meaning of most of the words so I didn't need to look them up anymore and now I'm able to type stupid comments on Youtube as you can see.But video games doesn't teach you grammar, slang, pronunciation and that kind of stuff. Even many of the words used in the video games doesn't appear on the dictionaries. So, videos like this really help me understand better, and I wanna archive a perfect English some day.

I don't know about you peoples... but for me this video was useful (as well as her other videos). Why it was useful ??Because English is not my 1st language and I kinda accidentally learned English by playing video games since I was 9 (if someone would take a picture of me back then, you would see me holding the Nintendo controller with one hand and a big English-Spanish dictionary on the other) ...
