Excessive Abdominal Fat
may be dangerous to your health.
Many people excess abdominal fat and think that is simply unsightly
and makes them self conscious about showing off their body. Research
has demonstrated that although it is unhealthy in general to have
excess body fat throughout your body, it is also particularly
dangerous to have excess abdominal fat.
There are two types of fat that in your abdominal area. The first
type covers up your abs from being visible and is called
subcutaneous fat. It lies directly beneath the skin and on top of
the abdominal muscles.
The second type of fat is called visceral fat. It lies deeper in the
abdomen beneath the muscle and surrounding your organs. Excessive
visceral fat gives one a protruding abdomen. It's sometimes referred
to as love handles or a beer belly.
Both subcutaneous fat and visceral fat in the abdominal area can be
health risk factors. Some studies have shown that excessive visceral
fat is more harmful than subcutaneous fat. However, both can greatly
increase the risk of developing high blood pressure, heart disease,
stroke, diabetes and other potential problems.
One of the reasons visceral fat may be more harmful is that it
apparently releases more inflammatory molecules into your body on a
continual basis.
If you care about the quality of your life and your loved ones,
reducing your abdominal fat should be one of your top priorities!
There's just no way around it. Besides, a side-effect of finally
getting rid of all of that excessive ugly abdominal fat is that your
stomach will flatten out, and if you lose enough stomach fat, you
will be able to visibly see those sexy six pack abs that everyone
wants.
How to get rid of extra abdominal fat.
Be wary of fat loss products that promise you can pop a pill and
lose the pounds. There is no miracle quick fix solution. There are
no pills or supplements of any sort that will help you lose your
abdominal fat faster.
The only solution to consistently lose your abdominal fat and keep
it off for good is to combine a diet full of natural foods and an
exercise program that stimulates the necessary hormonal and
metabolic response within your body. Both your food intake as well
as your training program are important. Consult with your Doctor.
Diet Plus Exercise. One typical
study divided thousands of participants into a diet-only group and
an exercise plus diet group. Both groups in the study made progress.
The diet and exercise group lost a significantly larger amount of
abdominal fat than the diet only group.
